What is Plasma Skin Tightening
The plasma pen is an advanced, minimaly invasive, skin lifting, and rejuvination device used to treat wrinkles, skin tags and creping skin. This treatment can be used for a number of procedures to dramatically enhance the looks without the need for costly and invasive surgery. The Plamere plasma pen is an FDA approved device used to perform fibroblast therapy. Fibroblasts are the most common cells of connective tissue in the body that produce collagen.
This anti aging treatment is based on a series of minute dots adjacent to the tension lines on the skin. This process triggers and immediate tightening, lifting and remodeling of the skin. This technique is used to stimulate the production of collagen in the skin.
Treatment areas - upper or lower eyelid, crows feet, brow lift, nasolabial lines, top and bottom lip, stretch marks, jowl, forehead lines, neck lift, belly button area, full tummy, acne scars, dark spots, arms and legs.
Service Time & What To Expect
Service time depends on the area being treated. For example: upper eyelids will take about and hour, this includes numbing which is a majority of the service time. Each eye takes about 10 minutes while the numbing process is about 30 minutes.
Following plasma skin tightening there will be redness similar to other skin resurfacing treatments. Discomfort is also experienced after treatment. There will be swelling of the area treated and a burning discomfort similar to a really bad sun burn. Scabbing usually develops and flakes off on its own within 4-7 days. It is important to not pick, scratch or rub the crusts when cleaning it as removing prematurely will expose red skin under the scabs that will delay recovery. This new skin will require you to wear an SPF 50+ whenever going outside for the following 3 months or until the skin has enough melanin to match the rest of the skin.
The skin will appear pinkish after the crusts fall off. This is normal and it is just the fresh baby skin surfacing and will continue to return to your natural skin tone in the weeks and months to come.
How long does it last
Plasma skin tightening results last the natural aging process. Effects last as long as invasive more costly surgery. Services reducing the look of wrinkles may begin to appear sooner than areas treated for loose or excess skin, this is due to the muscle movement that caused the wrinkles to form in the first place. To better your results when treating wrinkles or lines, Botox is a good option after skin tightening as it will help reduce the use of those muscles and extend the length of you results in the treated area.
Day 1 ~ You will be provided medicated wipes to use to dab off lymph fluid from the area for about an hour to minimize scabbing.
You will also be provided with and aftercare ointment as well as an icepack to help minimize and reduce swelling.

Day 2 - 7 Wash area morning and night outside of the shower using gentle soap (preferably Dove soap as it is closest to our natural PH) and warm water. Blot dry and then apply aftercare (which will be provided) as needed throughout the day to ensure area stays moisturized, typically 3-4 times. Limit exposure to sunlit without proper protection. Try sleeping on your back to avoid rubbing of the area while you sleep. Be sure to let the crusts fall off naturally! No picking, itching or scratching or pulling off scabs.
